VOLUME COMPARISON

DO I STORE "READY-MADE" FOODS OR "BASIC ITEMS"?

Do you have concerns that your children will not eat basic items that the LDS Church has counseled us to store? This volume comparison page was created to help you understand why it's better to store "basic" items for "long-term" storage vs. "ready-made" items. The table below shows you a few basic items offered at the LDS Church Canneries, what they cost, and the volume you would need to store if you stored "basic items" vs. "ready-made" items. Hopefully this volume comparison table will ellivate some of those fears along with recipes we have posted here that your children can eat these "basic items" and that they are "better" to store long-term.
